PAGESPEED INSIGHTS V5

Test how a webpage performs

Run a Lighthouse performance audit from Google's test environment. This measures webpage loading and rendering behavior—not your internet connection's maximum bandwidth.

  • Public HTTP and HTTPS pages
  • Mobile or desktop test profile
  • Core loading metrics and practical opportunities

WHAT IS MEASURED

A controlled lab test, not a visitor-side stopwatch

Google loads the submitted public URL in a Lighthouse test environment with the selected mobile or desktop profile. The score combines several loading and responsiveness measurements using Lighthouse's current scoring model.

The result can change between runs because the target server, third-party services, page content, Lighthouse version, and test infrastructure can change. A result here does not show how every real visitor experiences the page.

Some popular URLs also have Chrome User Experience Report field data. Google has announced that field data will eventually be removed from the PageSpeed Insights API, so this page treats the Lighthouse laboratory result as the primary report.
